“For the people, I have done a lot of work, so it will be the people’s vote that will elect me.” – Mujibur Rahman

Press Release:

In the forthcoming Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila Parishad elections, Mujibur Rahman, vying for the chairman position under the pineapple symbol, remains actively engaged in his campaign efforts.

Throughout Monday, Rahman diligently canvassed in various localities, including Chowdhury Para, SM Para, and the BGB camp situated within Cox’s Bazar Municipality Wards 5 and 6. Earlier in the morning, he engaged with members of the District Farmers’ League to discuss pertinent issues.

Emphasizing his commitment to public service, Rahman underscored that the election’s outcome hinges not on endorsements but on the electorate’s recognition of his extensive contributions to the community.

Furthermore, Rahman participated in solemn gatherings, including a prayer and remembrance ceremony organized by the Khorushkul shelter project to commemorate the victims of the devastating hurricane that struck on April 29, 1991. Subsequently, he joined a rally convened by the District Fisheries League, aimed at mobilizing support among workers.

The Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila Parishad election, scheduled for May 8, encompasses five unions and one municipality, with a significant voter base comprising 222,996 individuals across 82 polling stations. Notably, this electorate includes 119,294 male voters and 103,702 female voters.
